In-person and virtual options
My office is located in Broomfield, CO. I offer teletherapy in the state of Colorado and walks or hikes throughout the Boulder and Denver area. Medicine sessions take place in a quiet, private therapeutic space.
Offerings
I offer therapy to people who have never been to therapy, those going through grief and loss, discovering complex trauma, in trauma flare-ups, struggling with addiction to substances or behaviors, codependence, relationship or attachment challenges, parenting issues, anxiety, and/or depression. I also work with humans who just want a better life for themselves.
My approach is individualized and includes a combination of somatic awareness, parts work (IFS), Solutions-Focused Brief therapy, mindfulness, recovery programming, DBT, therapy in nature, ceremony & ritual, and neuroscience.
I meet people outside for nature-based integration sessions, walk-and-talk therapy, short nature walks, longer hikes and even multi-day outdoor trips. I also offer psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy for those struggling with depression or addiction who have not had success with talk therapy and medication.

Amanda Smith,
LPC, LAC, MA
Most people call me AJ.
I have a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with specialization in Wilderness Therapy. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC) in Colorado. I’m also a Certified Parent Coach and Wilderness First Responder (WFR).
What my clients say…
“Amanda and I have worked together tirelessly for years to face issues in my life such as first-time-fatherhood, sobriety, divorce, single-parenthood, and career. Her dedication, attention to detail, perspective, and empathy helped shape the last few years of my life into the most impactful and positive thus far. Amanda frequently recalls things from my life that I don't, can make me laugh, and perhaps most importantly to my values, help me see things from a new angle. The growth I have witnessed in myself from our partnership stretches far beyond my own happiness into that of my son, and others that I love deeply.” - J.S.
